Anniversary

A year ago today I married Dave.  I can't believe how fast the year went since it still feels like we married only a couple of months ago.  Now that we've reached our first year, does that no longer make us newlyweds?  I still feel newly married though I sign my new name with relative ease nowadays.  I'm so incredibly lucky to have him as my husband.  Really, I can't get over it.  It went by so fast.  I wonder if some years will feel longer than others.  In a way, I hope my perception of time slows because it stays like this year, we will be in our eighties before we know it.

We have decided to save the "anniversary" until this weekend.  Both of us worked today and I didn't get to see him until I got home at 9:30.   Despite it being our one year anniversary, it felt a bit muted.  We did enjoy our cake which still tastes delicious.  Aside from that though, it was just like any other night.  Two more days until Vermont.  I can't wait.
